WORSHIP
Worship Is…
Worship is nothing more than realizing who you are, who God is, and acting appropriately. The most natural and appropriate response for believers in Christ is to lift up praise to the God who created us and loves us enough to give His only begotten Son for our salvation. Our worship team seeks to lead the congregation in sincere, heartfelt, and meaningful worship that creates a life change and deepens believers relationship with Christ. After all, the truest form of worship is defined in Paul’s letter to the church in Rome…
Romans 12:1 (NIV)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.
JOIN US LIVE FOR WORSHIP
Each week, Woodlawn streams its Sunday Morning services live via Facebook at 10:30 AM.
We would love to have you join us if you are unable to attend church in person. Click here to visit the page, then scroll down to “All Videos” and select today’s date. You can also find all our previous streams there if you missed a service.
You see, worship isn’t merely an event that occurs for an hour on Sunday morning. It’s a life. It’s a heart that seeks to bring glory to God both in words and deeds. It’s an encounter with Christ that remakes a wounded soul into a new creation, and then the soul is set free to sing.
At Woodlawn, we worship though singing both traditional and cotemporary songs of devotion and adulation each week. Our worship also includes a weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and a sermon designed to be relevant and helpful as you live in the real world.
